Marvel's Shang-Chi star shares the advice Tom Hiddleston gave him
Simu Liu, who starred in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe in just a few weeks, two years after he was initially cast in the role at Comic-Con.
Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki, gave Simu Liu some advice on how to deal with being a part of such a massive series during that convention, which the actor recounted in an interview with Variety.
"The day I was revealed at Comic-Con, I had a fantastic chat with Tom Hiddleston," he said.
"And he was simply amazing. First and foremost, he's such a lovely human being, the type of ideal person to help you find your bearings. 'You've got to appreciate it, you've got to take the good with all the bad, and you've got to accept the reality that even if you go on holiday to a random island, people will still know where you're from,' he said.
"That's how far-reaching and all-encompassing Marvel films are.'
"And there's something very lovely about it, but there's also... there's just a different way of life that you have to get used to."
Previous antagonists Abomination and the Mandarin return in the martial arts-themed Marvel film, albeit the latter will be the genuine one this time.
